JIMENA is excited to host Middle East author Joseph Braude at Stanford's Hillel, Tuesday February 19th at 7PM. Braude is a fluent Arabic and Farsi speaker who has lived and worked in most Arab capitals as well as in Iran.
He is the only Westerner ever to be embedded with an Arab security apparatus, his experience with the Moroccan police is the subject of his latest book, The Honored Dead: A Story of Friendship, Murder, and the Search for Truth in the Arab World (Random House, 2011).
