The Stanford Savoyards, a student-run community theatre troupe dedicated to Gilbert & Sullivan, launches their 40th season with a no holds barred, warp speed rendition of HMS Pinafore. This traditional operetta becomes an entertaining parody of class division, revealed identity and de rigueur romance, but featuring some of the most revered characters, costuming, and settings of the Star Trek: The Next Generation opus.
