The largest and most popular sailboat racing series in the nation opens its 2013 season on Tampa Bay, as more than 1,000 sailors hit the water for three days of competitive racing. Sailors from around the world compete with local skippers for the prize of winning a trip to the British Virgin Islands to race in the championship regatta. Boats launch from the St. Pete Yacht Club, but best viewing is from The Pier.
