Art Exhibit: The Disappeared
In Argentina’s capital city in 2005, Sylvia Horwitz encountered the group of activist women who have been part of weekly protest marches in Plaza de Mayo for 30 years. They are the mothers of the children who were made to disappear during the military dictatorship (1976-83). She was deeply moved and inspired by the Madres and wanted to make a visual record of what she was experiencing.
Horwitz’s photographs will be displayed in the Gallery of William Mitchell College of Law.
