Kaizen Facilitator Training, March 20-21, 2013

Kaizen Facilitator training is a two-day training that teaches public sector employees the skills and tools needed to facilitate successful Kaizen events. Through instruction, discussion and simulations, participants learn about
characteristics of successful facilitation
the importance of Kaizen events in Lean transformation
the roles of Kaizen facilitators, sponsors, team leaders and team members
how to lead a swim lane mapping exercise
how to conduct each day of a multi-day kaizen event
how to… Show more active leaders in the Lean transformation of their agencies.
Participants must come prepared to discuss an actual work process for which a Kaizen event is planned and to practice facilitation skills.
This is intended for people who will, in the near future, facilitate a Kaizen event. This is not intended for people who are interested in hosting a Kaizen event or participating on a Kaizen team.
Prerequisites:
completion of Lean 101 or past participation on a Kaizen team
recommendation by your agency's Lean leader
recommendation by your supervisor
identification of a process to be improved through a Kaizen event
