Carmel Chiswick - STL Jewish Book Festival
Friday, Nov 7 10:30a
JCC Arts & Education Building
St Louis,
MO
Chiswick draws on her Jewish upbringing, her
journey as a Jewish parent, and her perspective as an
economist to argue that economics is a blind spot in
our understanding of religion. Chiswick blends her
personal experiences with economic analysis to
illustrate the cost of Jewish participationfinancially
and, more importantly, in terms of time and effort.
Chiswick is Research Professor of Economics at
George Washington University.
