Beneath Your Feet: 250 Years of St. Louis Caves

Tuesday, Apr 15 7:00p to 9:00p

Featured Speaker: Robert Criss, Ph.D., Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences, Washington University in St. Louis

For 250 years, the karst landscape beneath St. Louis has provided both opportunity and trouble, yet the nature of those interrelationships has profoundly changed. Early uses of caves and karst include beer cellars, water supply and trash disposal, whereas modern uses include storage, recreation and storm water drainage.
