This weekend, music director David Robertson conducts the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra in two of Richard Strauss' most beloved - but stylistically very different - tone poems. "Don Juan" will knock you sideways with its shockingly flamboyant audacity, while "Till Eulenspiegel" introduces us to a musical world full of whimsy and humor. Pianist Kirill Gerstein joins the orchestra for the St. Louis premiere of Thomas Ades' "In Seven Days."
