Founded in 1986 by Allen Bailey, the Choir presents the finest singers and musicians from black churches in Harlem and the New York City area. The Choir has performed alongside superstars including Andre Rieu, Diana Ross, Bono,Sinead O'Connor, Kim Wilde, Lyle Lovett, Josh Groban, Lisa Marie Presley and the Gorillaz. The Harlem Gospel Choir has also had solo performances for Royalty, President Obama, Nelson Mandela, Popes, Elton John, the Michael Jackson memorial and now SOPAC.
