The Naked Fish

3940 Lake Tahoe Blvd. #3, South Lake Tahoe, CA, 96150
530-541-FISH (3474) - Venue Website

The Naked Fish is located in South Lake Tahoe, California right on Hwy 50 near the stateline just two blocks from the casinos. It was first opened in 1999. It is the original Naked Fish Sushi Restaurant. It has been copied by many but is not affiliated with any other Naked Fish.

Our mission is to bring the best quality fish available to our customers. We get fish from a source that doesn't even deliver to Tahoe which requires us to drive 200 miles to pick it up. Our standards will not settle for 3rd party air shipment. No other restaurant in Tahoe brings you fish of this quality. Come in and see for yourself.

We open nightly for dinner at 5pm. Lunch is offered on weekends from 12-3 pm. We have something for everyone - even the non-sushi-lovers! Kids will find something they enjoy as well.

Fresh Fish Fest!

Naked Fish did a great job of accommodating our "no reservations" party of six. The menu includes several hot/cold sake selections, with some unfiltered options too.

Our group tried a variety of rolls, and most were quickly devoured. The one exception was the "Green acres" roll - a vegan roll that was wrapped in a Japanese leaf of some sort. Some folks loved it, one girl almost lost her cookies after tasting it.

Real wasabi is available on the menu, and the pickled ginger was a nice un-processed cream (vs. pink) color.
