Boston Opera Collaborative presents Dead Man Walking
Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking receives its New England premiere thirteen years after its critically acclaimed debut at San Francisco Opera. Adapted from the first-hand account of Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ, by Terrence McNally, it speaks of faith, redemption, and the bonds of family through the eyes of a nun who establishes a relationship with a Death Row inmate.
Opera contains strong language and brief moment of on-stage violence. Viewer discretion advised.
