Expect the unexpected with Otis Taylor. His music is an amalgamation of roots styles in their rawest form as he addresses heavyweight issues and the human condition. Paste Magazine calls him "a country folk version of spontaneous, talking blues master John Lee Hooker" and The New Yorker dubbed his sound "Velvet Underground Railroad." Otis won the prestigious Handy Award plus he earned several nominations and spearheads a Blues in the Schools program called "Writing the Blues."
