Suzanne Edminster, Contemporary Artist, featured artist at The Wine Emporium Gallery

The Wine Emporium is pleased to announce Suzanne Edminster as our featured artist in The Gallery from Labor Day to New Years.

Born and raised in the countryside of California’s Central Valley, Suzanne draws inspiration from the endless fields, marked only by cows, telephone poles, or occasional tree. Her work is color-saturated, gestural, and abstracted. She has lived and studied art in Europe and India, and has a degree in Poetics. European intellectual tradition, Indian subcontinent color saturation,… Show more and American abstract impressionism all play a role in Suzanne’s painting. Her series are often grounded in Greek myth, modern poets, American petroglyphs, cave art, and private narratives. Her colorist technique exploits new, ultra-bright pigments and often works in a pastel or fluorescent palette. Suzanne’s paintings cite ancient sources to create contemporary myths and bright new metaphors. Enter their secret world of color and symbol. Enjoy your journey.

The Wine Emporium is located at 125 North Main Street, in Sebastopol. They represent prominent and rising northern California artists, and provide wine tasting and sales coast to coast.
