Handel's Alcina

Sunday, Apr 6 1:00p to 2:00p

The kids of Seattle Historical Arts present a tale of sorcery, disguise, and escape. When the knight Ruggiero strays to Alcina’s enchanted island, he is in danger of falling prey to her spells – until his girlfriend Bradamante shows up with a magic ring. There’s even a hippogriff and a duel in Baroque style. This fully costumed dramatic adaptation of George Frederick Handel’s opera Alcina is accompanied by a sparkling handful of its most beautiful songs and dances.
