Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Remembrance Event

Tuesday, Mar 11 6:00p to 9:00p

March 11th, 2014, marks the third anniversary of the magnitude 9.0 earthquake that hit Japan producing a massive tsunami that killed 18K people, caused $122B in damage, and led to the meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear plant. To commemorate the crisis, Moontown Foundation will host a special screening and discussion of Canadian filmmaker Ian MacKenzie's short film Reactor, a meditative, deliberate, quietly powerful half-hour glimpse into the uncharted new world of post-Fukushima Japan.
