Intermediate Leather Mask Making Workshop at Equinox Studios

In this fun full day workshop, you will learn how to design and create a single layer sculpted leather mask that will fit your own face perfectly. You'll even get to take your one-of-a-kind finished mask home at the end of the day.
You'll learn how to:
-make and adjust a pattern
-transfer the pattern to leather
-cut the mask out and smooth the edges
-add texture to the surface
-wet and form the leather to your face
-dry the leather quickly to harden it
-paint and embellish your unique mask!

Please note that class size is limited. Students must be age 14 or older for this workshop. No previous experience necessary.
This workshop ends just in time for the Georgetown Second Saturday Art Attack. When you are finished with your mask, you can explore the other artist spaces at Equinox Studios and hop on the free Art Shuttle to check out the rest of the Georgetown Art Attack!
