A major challenge psychoanalysis faces today is making its concepts and clinical findings even more relevant and useful in addressing community issues of trauma and violence and their impact on families, children, education, and the whole community.
This lecture will outline psychoanalytic strategies to solve these issues with examples of psychoanalytic work in the community, and how both the community and psychoanalysis moves forward and are enriched by this critical work.
