Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Directed by Ian Bell, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is the story of an East Berlin born rock-and-roll goddess Hedwig Schmidt, a botched sex change, stolen music and love affair with an American GI. Rising star Jerick Hoffer (most recently seen in the role of Angel in the 5th Avenue production of RENT) portrays Hedwig as she recounts her outrageous life story as the lead singer in a sleazy lounge act, backed by her rock-and-roll band “The Angry Inch.”
