Located at N.E. 45th Street and Brooklyn Avenue in Seattle's University District, just around the corner from the Varsity Theatre, the Neptune Theatre is one of Seattle's last remaining single-screen theatres. It became a Landmark Theatre in 1981 and was redecorated to live up to the Neptune name, with a concession stand created by a local boat builder, an aqua colored rug, faux stained-glass panels and Neptune god-heads inside the auditorium.
A 1994 remodeling project future beautified The Neptune's nautical motif and movie-palace grandeur. Sporting ultra-comfy seats with cupholders, a large screen and one of the best sound systems in town featuring Dolby Digital and SDDS Digital, the theatre offers a state-of-the-art viewing experience in a classic surrounding.
