MEET AT THE GUM WALL!
The Market Ghost Tours have been around for over 20 years and have been recommended by word of mouth through most of that time - with a few tours happening around Halloween. It has been successful and drawn a larger audience in the past four years. The tour is now offered year round. They are the stories of the people that lived on the land before the Pike Place Market, like Princess Angeline, Chief Seattle's daughter, and those have recently departed but still remain in the Arcades. Within the Market, Seattle's first mortuary stands, the remnants of a Native graveyard can be found, and an old brothel still has a red glow cast on it's walls. The stories will amaze and entertain you.
"The Ghost Tour was everything I wanted and more, mostly because while I figured it would titillate the kitschy side of me that reads Stephen King avidly, it also managed to not be at all corny. Mercedes, the guide, was well-informed, entertaining, and recounted stories of ghosts who have been seen and experienced enough and by enough individual people to make the stories believable." This is part of the review from yelp.com
The tour is moderately adult in content, but we do have lots of children's stories. With advance notice and a phone call to me, Mercedes at 206-322-1218, I can help put you and your children on the correct date for a tour if you would like more of a children's tour. If you come with young ones under 8 years of age, there is no charge for them to be on the tour.
