I'll admit, the remake with Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott was disappointing but casting Burt Reynolds, Willie Nelson, and Jessica as Boss Hogg, Uncle Jesse, and Daisy respectively was a stroke of genius which alone justifies the film.
