Pennypacker Mill's Clear Toy Candy: A Sweet Tradition
Most children one-hundred years ago hoped for a piece of clear toy candy in their stocking. The three-dimensional shapes shined like glass. Come for an informative presentation on the history of this beloved holiday treat and then see how it was made using antique moulds.
Afterward take a guided tour of the holiday decor in the Pennypacker Mansion! Holiday tours 11/20/12 thru 1/6/13. Hours: Tues-Sat-10 am to 4 pm; Sun 1 to 4 pm. Closed Mondays & major holidays. Tours take 1 hour.
