Tony Trischka and Territory

We can't imagine a more perfect headliner for our Banjo Summit than 35-year banjo veteran Tony Trischka. As the leading architect of progressive banjo music, Tony Trischka's travels have taken him from bluegrass bands and avant garde jazz groups to symphony orchestras and percussion ensembles. His stylings have inspired a generation of bluegrass and acoustic musicians. Recently he has played with Steve Martin and Bela Fleck (his former student) on the Letterman Show, and produced Steve Martin's banjo record The Crow.
His recent recording Territory has been nominated as the Americana Album of the year by the Independent Music Association. Tonight he'll be performing with his amazing band, also named Territory, featuring Michael Daves (guitar, vocals), Skip Ward (bass), and Tashina Clarridge (fiddle).
