Sarasota Orchestra presents Dawning of a New Season
We begin our season with a sense of daybreak in Eller's gorgeous "Dawn." Building to an ardent climax, the music soon returns to the sublime quiet with which it began. Lukáš Vondráček will bring the house down with his bold interpretation of Rachmaninoff's passionate rhapsody. The concert concludes with Dvořák's Symphony No. 7, a piece the composer called "capable of moving the world." It is a commanding masterpiece inspired by his hope for the dawning of a new Czech republic.
