Art History Lecture: Louise Bourgeois; By Jean Renoux

Tuesday, Mar 12, 2013 5:30p to 8:00p
Art Center of Sarasota Sarasota, FL

Art Center Sarasota presents an art history lecture with Jean Renoux, about the artist Louise Bourgeois, a renowned French-American artist and sculptor, best known for her contributions to both modern and contemporary art, and for her spider structures, which resulted in her being nicknamed the Spiderwoman. Though her works are abstract, they are suggestive of the human figure and express themes of betrayal, anxiety, and loneliness. Please RSVP. Lite bites and wine cash bar from 5:30 to 6:00.
