This workshop… Show more is tailored for tribes that have entered into program agreements with Fhwa for administration of their Tribal Transportation Program Funds pursuant to Map-21. (If you are not contracted with Fhwa or are a transportation agency partner, we can add you to the workshop waitlist.)
Transportation planning is the process of developing strategies for operating, managing, maintaining, and financing the area's transportation system to achieve the community's long-term transportation goals and vision.
Participants will learn the purpose and principles of developing a Long Range Transportation Plan as well as programming funds to financially constrained the Tribal Transportation Improvement Program (Tip), engage in a hands on exercise for Scoping of a Transportation Project, how to identify alternative funding sources for transportation projects and how to present project information to your tribal council.

TRAINING Location: This training will be conducted at the Western Ttap located in the National Indian Justice Center (Nijc), 5250 Aero Drive, Santa Rosa, Ca 95403, Telephone: 707-579-5507.

Airport: Santa Rosa/Sonoma County Airport (STS) is located at 2200 Airport Blvd, Santa Rosa, Ca 95403 just 5 minutes (2.4 miles) from the Nijc headquarters. Alaska Air / Horizon Air are the primary airlines that fly to/from this airport. Alternative airports are Oakland (Oak) and San Francisco International (Sfo) however these airports are approximately 55 miles (1-way) to/from Nijc headquarters.
CAR Rental: Avis, Enterprise, Hertz and Budget are located in the Santa Rosa airport terminal.
