Paintings & Drawings by Roberto Chavez, the largest show ever of a major West Coast artist, honored by the Getty Foundation and the Smithsonian Museum. SRJC rarely does solo shows, but recognizes Chavez’ historic importance and significant interest for the larger community. Includes still lifes, nudes, portraiture, and provocative depictions of war and other social ills. The work is sensual, emotional, authentic, and accomplished. Opening Reception November15, 4-6 PM.
