The CCA is dedicated to representing the arts of our time as a critical component of social, political, economic, and educational discourse. Because the arts stem from all facets of human nature and interaction, they should be perceived as an active participant in the greater course of human events. The arts should be equally capable of questioning, answering, following, leading, running interference, causing distraction and illuminating.
CCA pursues this course by making available to the community the widest possible selection of media produced by new and inquisitive voices and by attempting to broadcast the insights and impulses of our community out toward the world. CCA believes that the artist's voice is intrinsically tied to the community at large and attempts to magnify that voice within that context. Reaching people not by marketing to differences or societal polarities, but by providing a means of communication - the arts - that transcends the strata of stereotypes and otherness in a responsive and dedicated environment.
