Bobby's is part feeding station and part community. If it were a Norman Rockwell painting it would be an all-American mom and son (Helen and Bobby Boyett) and key lime pie. (The apple pie they serve is from Costco, so it doesn't count.) But the key lime pie ($5) is a dream, made from scratch: Tart flavor, velvet-cream texture and the straw-gold color that comes from true key lime juice. The custard is contrasted by a chewy, buttery graham cracker crust. But then your server will offer you a spritz of Reddi-wip light cream from a can - like putting cheap paint on a beautifully crafted house.
