Thursday, Mar 21, 2013 7:00p to 8:00p
History Center San Rafael, CA

Did you know that Harriet Quimby, the first certified U.S. pilot, flew in a purple satin flying suit? Women have been flying for generations and aviation has had an important and liberating role in the lives of women. From balloons to planes, this lecture will reflect on the lives of women and their contributions to the field of modern aviation. Kristin Tague is a notable speaker and researcher affiliated with The International Group for Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR).
