Weekend Workshops - Get a Lift with Gases (6-11 years old)

Gases are all around us the air we breathe, carbonation in a drink, or helium in balloons. Students will experience this state of matter as they combine ingredients to create a gas, use the pressure of a gas (air) to power a small vehicle, and compress air and water to “fuel” the launch of a soda bottle into the sky. This workshop is sure to lift-off a child’s interest in gases.
