LADRILLERÍA: Alberto Dávila Presentation and Q&A
"Self-employment Along the U.S.-Mexico Border"
Presented by Texas State’s Center for the Study of the Southwest, this second of three events features a talk by Alberto Dávila, a border-area economist from the University of Texas-Pan American. Given that self-employment rates among Hispanics were higher in 2010 than in 2000 along the U.S.-Mexico border, this trend might appear to imply economic progress for this population. However, care should be taken in making this assessment.
