Cal Poly Symphony Fall Concert: 'Music and Image'

The Cal Poly Symphony kicks off its season with music inspired by — and interpreted through — visual art. The centerpiece of the concert will be a collaboration with Sky Bergman, an internationally exhibited and published photographer who serves as the chair of Cal Poly’s Art and Design Department. Bergman will re-interpret Modest Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” with her own images of people and cultures across the globe. The program will also include Ottorino Respighi’s “Trittico Botticelliano,” a three-movement work inspired by paintings by Botticelli: "Spring," "Adoration of the Magi," and "The Birth of Venus," as well as music written for video games!
