It is like more like an english pub than what you'd expect to find in Ireland but the bar is a respectable place for a Guinness.

I'll admit, I'm a little torn on this review. Rosie's is an authentic looking pub right of the the street of Galway. They bring in local music and have had some great irish musicians but turn the corner from the bar to the restaurant and you feel like you've walked into an English country club complete with a the stereotypical picture of some fox hounds leading the hunt. I was disappointed to find, when dining there the other night, they were playing music one would expect at trendy Sino around the corner. The food is decent and service okay. Really you go to Rosie's for the atmosphere which was unfortunately out of place on my recent trip. I hope they stick with what they know best because no one does Irish like the Irish.
