Under the artistic leadership of Music Director and Conductor Yair Samet, SJYS presents Sibelius’s Finlandia; Grieg’s Norwegian Dances, No. 1; Bernstein’s On The Town, and Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor. Two outstanding young soloists, winners from the 2013 Young Artists’ Competition, will be featured: Daniel Charif, flutist, performing Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major; and Robert Collar, clarinetist, performing Artie Shaw’s Concerto for Clarinet in B-Flat Major.
