Sudip Mukhopadhyay trained as a chemical engineer in India, Israel and then Berkeley, where he invented free-radical initiated methane activation chemistry at or near room temperature to liquid fuels. He joined Honeywell, Buffalo Research Laboratory in 2003 and developed process options for world’s first commercial Low Global Warming Potential (LGWP) refrigerant, Honeywell Solstice™. In 2005, he moved back to California to work at the Honeywell Electronics Material R&D in Sunnyvale, where he has worked extensively in the area of Display, Air-gap technologies and next generation Bottom Antireflective Coatings (Barc) for lithography. Most recently, he has invented, launched and marketed Solarc™ material for Photovoltaic (PV). Sudip’s passion is to develop and market new materials for alternative energy transformation and storage. He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and 36 granted patents.
