Looking Back. Pressing Forward. A Church History Weekend with Dr. S. Wenig

Many are familiar with the story of how the Church started. The New Testament gives us a clear account of the coming of Christ, Peter's good confession, Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, Pentecost, and a host of developments throughout the first century. But what about after that? Since the first century, what has taken place to shape the modern expression of the Church? How does the story of the Church through the past two thousand years inform our faith, teach us about ourselves, and ultimately… Show more point us to the Head of the Church, Jesus?
On March 22nd and 23rd you are invited to explore these questions and more. Through the passion and expertise of Denver Seminary's Dr. Scott Wenig (Haddon W. Robinson Chair of Biblical Preaching and Professor of Applied Theology), you will be led to a deeper affection for Christ, as well as his gracious work through the years. Join us.

Dr. Scott Wenig joined the faculty at Denver Seminary in 1994. He serves as professor of applied theology, teaching in the areas of homiletics, church history, and pastoral ministry.
