Gordon Biersch Big Bands & BBQ 25th Celebration

April Showers bring May flowers, and what do Mayflowers bring? BEER! Move over Pilgrims, because there's a better answer to the old nursery riddle, (and we hope you agree). This May, Gordon Biersch will be celebrating 25 years of brewing with a Big Bands & BBQ 25th Celebration! The Gordon Biersch Big Bands and BBQ 25th Celebration will be on Saturday, May 18th, 2013 from 2pm to 7pm at the Gordon Biersch Brewery in Japantown @ 357 E. Taylor St, San Jose, CA 95112.
If you didn't know Gordon Biersch… Show more had an actual brewery in San Jose, you are in for a treat. Admission will be $10 and include a commemorative glass and six tastes of Gordon Biersch original brews for guests who are 21 and older. Additional full beers and tastes will be available for purchase. Hand-made craft root beer floats will be available for non-drinkers and attendees who are under the age of 21

BBQ: In addition to brews, guests will be able to purchase a range of traditional BBQ from American, Korean, and other Asian BBQ vendors.
Band: Band: Live music will be performed by the San Jose Jazz Festival All Star Big Band, Pacific Mambo Orchestra, and the Carlos Reyes Band.

Commercial Contest Screening and Brewery Tours: Gordon Biersch will be screening the top 25 commercial submissions from the Gordon Biersch Commercial Competition at the event. The winner of the competition will be announced at the end of the night. Finally, Attendees will be able to tour the historic Gordon Biersch Brewery. The Gordon Biersch Brewery tour is exciting and educational for beer lovers and those who are passionate about the art of craft-beer making.
