11th Annual sjDANCEco Dance Festival

10th Annual sjDANCEco Dance Festival @ Santana Row, April 2 8, 201 3
sjDANCEco invites you to participate in sjDANCEco's Dance Festival (formerly Dancin' Downtown), a dance festival set for the first Sunday of National Dance Week from 10:00AM to 3:00PM, and taking place outside at Park Valencia in Santana Row (in front of Maggiano's Little Italy Restaurant).
An application fee of $ 40 is required to participate. Please be prepared to submit payment along with the name of your piece, length of piece,… Show more choreographer and time of day/scheduling preference upon application. Scheduling requests are considered on a first come, first serve basis to groups who met the deadline (M ar ch 1 ) with a fully completed application.Â
sjDANCEco agrees to organize and cover the cost of all expenses relating to the Festival, such as equipment, necessary permits, publicity and marketing, and spectator/audience (but not Participant) insurance. Â
The sjDANCEco Dane Festival is intended to showcase the wealth and diversity of South Bay dance artists. All dance companies, choreographers, studios, performing groups and cultural organizations are eligible to apply.  We are especially encouraging participants from all across the Bay Area to participate, including San Francisco, North Bay, East Bay, Peninsula and South Bay regions. Â
Pieces should be no longer than 5 minutes . Due to the wonderful growth of our Festival, organizations are only allowed to submit one piece . Efforts will be made to showcase the most variety of performers. On February 2 2 th, if space permits, organizations will be able to submit one additional piece for an additional $ 40 on a first come first serve basis until the March 1st deadline.
There is a Mandatory Meeting that ALL participants MUST attend in order to participate. If you cannot attend, please arrange for someone to attend for you. Your music is also due at this meeting. The Mandatory Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, TBA (tentatively 4/7) @ 3:00pm (More information will be sent to participants regarding this meeting in March).
