Arts Angels -- Placing arts mentors in local schools

The Tabard Theatre Company and Nineteen jazz ensemble are partnering in an innovative "Arts Angels" program for local schools that places performing and technical arts mentors/coaches in local classrooms for an hour a week during the 201213 school year. Each mentor costs $900 for one school's 8-month program. Each school contributes $450 with the balance covered by donations from "Arts Angels" like you. The administrative costs of this program are being donated by Tabard and Nineteen. What that means… Show more is that there is no overhead to burden the program. Just think: Your fully tax-deductible donation can impact the artistic lives of 3040 kids, per school, in a meaningful way over the academic year. Be an "Arts Angel" and help send music and theatre mentors/coaches "winging" their way to our schools! Our goal is at least 5 schools for this upcoming year. That's a total of $2,250 needed from "Arts Angels." The program also will be the designated non-profit to receive a portion of concessions proceeds at several events/shows at Tabard's Theatre on San Pedro Square, The Destination for Arts Discovery, in downtown San Jose.
