Foxy Shazam
Foxy Shazam
Foxy Shazam's music is an unhinged, maniacal mix of piano, guitar, howling vocals, double-kickdrum percussion, and rock & roll theatrics. The quintet hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, where bandmates Eric Nally (vocals), Loren Turner (guitar), Daisy (bass), Sky White (piano), and Joe Halberstadt (drums) first joined forces in 2004....
Welcome to Zepparella, four women intent on bringing the passion, the beauty, the aggression, the musicality of Led Zeppelin alive. Zepparella delivers an explosive, emotional musical journey at every event....

Rick Stevens
Rick was born in Port Authur, Texas, but didn't stay there long, as a few years later his parents moved to Reno, Nevada. Rick first sang in public at the tender age of four, when his family set him up on a chair in front of the congregation at church....
Us The Duo
Us The Duo

Great venue for live music

Slims is my favorite venue in San Francisco to see a band live. It's not too big. It's not too small. The sound system is good. The price is never too high to get in. And I've seen some pretty amazing bands here over the years, before they got so big they had to play HUGE venues to accommodate everyone who wanted to see them. If I could choose one setting to see a band I loved, it would be to see them headlining at Slims.

And PS: The Slims "Rock and Roll is not a crime" shirt is my favorite t-shirt I own! I'm just saying...

Great sound, unfriendly staff

Slim's has a great location and space -- and the sound system is very good -- but the staff has all the warmth of professional prison guards. The fun begins with being heavily frisked at the door, and continues as you are forced to buy drinks if you want to sit down. Immediately after the music stops, the staff shows their first real enthusiasm as they herd you out the door as quickly as possible. Visit this place only if you love the band.
