This workshop will help you develop a successful job search strategy for the “new economy” and emerge with enhanced focus, skills and a plan for moving forward to a more fulfilling career.
You will:
Develop a job search focus to refine and target where to find opportunities that match your skills, experiences, interests, values and career goals.
Discover how to access the “hidden job market”: how to find the companies, organizations, and industries with existing job opportunities, as well as how to create and pitch a role that is tailored just for you.
Work on crafting and telling your professional story to inform the development of your resume, LinkedIn profile, networking, and informational and job interview style.
Learn tools and techniques to break through procrastination and resistance to get out of your own way.
Receive resources to better manage your time, research your options, organize your priorities and stay “on track.”
You will leave with a beginning action plan to define your career strategy, find inspiration from the collective intelligence of a small, supportive group and define a path to success towards your goals.
This workshop is packed full of information, resources, and opportunity to practice.
Ongoing group coaching will be offered as a follow up option for interested participants.
Group size is kept small – advance registration required.

Susan Jewkes Allen, MSW, GCDF is a San Francisco based career counselor and coach. Susan is a licensed Global Career Development Facilitator with an MSW in clinical practice, post-graduate credentials in transpersonal psychology, personality studies and creativity coaching. Susan has been in private practice for more than 25 years, is a certified provider of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)and the Strong Interest Invetory (SII), which she has used as assessment tools with individuals and groups in a wide variety of settings from non-profits to Fortune 100 companies. She is the founder at Life+Work and an associate at Bay Area Career Center. She has taught, coached, and consulted about work, health and well- being in the public and sectors, and post-secondary institutions in Europe, Africa, the US and Canada, including: the World Health Organization, United Nations, and World Bank.
