Speaker: Therese Poletti. Our April "Little Island, Big Ideas" lecture continues our tribute to the 75th anniversary of the Golden Gate International Exposition (GGIE). Timothy Pflueger was the most influential architect at the fair (Treasure Island 1939-1940), designing the Federal Building and the Court of Pacifica, and the creator of "Art in Action". Therese Poletti is the author of "Art Deco San Francisco: the Architecture of Timothy Pflueger" and a popular speaker on Bay Area architecture.
