Poet George Stanley won the 2006 Shelley Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America. He has published eight books: “After Desire: The Observations of a Poet,” “Vancouver: A Poem,” “At Andy’s,” “Gentle Northern Summer,” “Opening Day,” “The Stick” and “You.”

Lewis Ellingham is a freelance editor and writer. His books include “Poet Be Like God: Jack Spicer and the San Francisco Renaissance,” written with Kevin Killian; “The Birds and Other Poems”; and “The Jefferson Airplane.”
