Sweden was a neutral country during World War II, so it was in a unique position to gather and disseminate news about occupied Europe and to help with the rescue efforts in numerous ways. Steven Koblik, a respected scholar, author, educator and now President of the Huntington Library, will speak about his landmark book, The Stones Cry Out, Sweden’s Response to the Persecution of the Jews, 1933-1945.

This event is being offered in conjunction with the Raoul Wallenberg exhibit in the Katz Snyder Gallery.
