Twice Heroes: Nisei soldiers who earned the Congressional Gold Medal

Tom Graves, author of Twice Heroes: America’s Nisei Veterans of WWII and Korea, will speak about the Japanese American veterans who earned the Congressional Gold Medal, at the de Young Museum, July 13th at 2:00pm. The program is free to the public. During WWII, the all-Nisei 442nd Regimental Combat Team became the most decorated unit in U.S. history, and the Nisei Military Intelligence Service became “America’s secret weapon” in the Pacific.
