Proximities 1: What Time Is It There?
Proximities is a three-part contemporary art exhibition of recent and new artwork that looks at the wide, elusive range of Asia through the varied perspectives of Bay Area artists. The exhibitions of painting, sculpture, video, installations, and events are organized around cultural themes that resonate with points of Asia: real and imagined landscaped, family/community, and trade/commerce. the works reflect the artists' "proximity" to Asia and Asian history.
