The Mexican Museum Presents, An Inspired Gift: The Rex May Collection of Mexican Popular Art
A special exhibition,part of The Mexican Museum’s permanent collection opens to the public Friday, April 26. Gifted to the museum in 2001 by Rex May, represents the rich visual colors, sensibilities, spirit and vitality of Mexico and its people.The collection is comprised of more than 1,400 culture objects all of which were personally selected by Mr. May, who was an avid collector of Mexican folk art.
Located at Fort Mason Center, Bldg D, in SF, the museum is open noon to 4 p.m., Wed.- Sun.
