Event Description:
Oil spills, global warming, and human misuse have landed our Oceans in dire straits. The next 20 years will define the Oceans’ future, as well as our own. SeaChange is an educational event to inspire action and awareness for students. Positive impact is greatly needed and without the work of more individuals like you nothing will change. SeaChange is excited to host international and local ocean experts, Fabien Cousteau, Wallace J. Nichols, and Dr. Rebecca Johnson. In add ition… Show more organizations like Marine Mammal Center will be present to help run fun educational demonstrations and activities throughout the day. Please join SeaChange to help start a movement of saving the Oceans. It is the Bay Area’s turn to SeaChange for a better Ocean future.

Art Competition:
There are very few limits to this project. The project should be made almost completely out of reusable items (there can be exceptions for paints/ coloring utensils/ glue or tape/etc.). In addition the project needs to have a central theme centered around oceans. This can be anything to an Ocean issue, a marine animal, ocean scenery, etc. To help the judges understand your art creation please create a short (1-2 sentences) theme description talking about your art piece and what Ocean theme is it meant to represent.
Please bring your art piece and theme description to SeaChange by 1:30, so the judges and other event attendees can see your work.
Each participant is limited to one art piece. Please register above by March 14th.
The project is meant to be fun and to inspire your artistic side. If you have any further questions about the parameters just shoot me an email with your questions at: kmatthews@bayschoolsf.org
