The Diaries of Denis & Bridget Oliver: A Dramatic Reading and Exhibit

Wednesday, Mar 13, 2013 6:00p
California Historical Society San Francisco, CA

The Crossroads Irish-American Festival boasts a fruitful collaboration with the California Historical Society in the form of a dramatic reading and exhibit inspired by the diaries of Gold Rush era Irish immigrants, Denis and Bridget Oliver. Elizabeth Creely, writer and director of the project, has created an evocative rendering of the lives of these survivors of the Irish famine. Renée Gibbons and Tom McCarthy will perform in this dramatic reading. Mitch Landy will also perform on harp.
